How to Create a Password Protected Private Folder with a Batch File then Conceal it as a VIRUS (Windows) - 5.2 STEPS

Would you want to know how to create a password protected folder using a batch file. (.bat) and conceal it as a VIRUS?

5.2 easy steps to follow, see below for the code and what to do with it! Try it out and satisfy your urge to keep your file/s secured from people who don't really know how to crack code.

This works on a USB or an EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE. However, you may only reveal the folder with a computer that runs on a WINDOWS OS.

STEP 1:
CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED LOCATION. You can bury this deep into a series of folders, if you wish to REALLY REALLY secure your files.
USB, EXTERNAL DRIVE, or even your DESKTOP can be used as a location. For this tutorial, I used a folder located in my desktop named CHINO\TUTORIAL.

STEP 2:
Open an untitled NOTEPAD.
Shortcut to run notepad: Hold Windows Button and press the letter "R" on your keyboard then type in: "notepad"

STEP 3:
On the UNTITLED NOTPAD, Copy and Paste this code: (FROM cls to :End)

cls
@ECHO OFF
title RVIRUS
if EXIST "HTG Locker" goto UNLOCK
if NOT EXIST Private goto MDLOCKER
:CONFIRM
echo Are you sure you want to lock the folder (Y/N)
set/p "cho=>"
if %cho%==Y goto LOCK
if %cho%==y goto LOCK
if %cho%==n goto END
if %cho%==N goto END
echo Invalid choice.
goto CONFIRM
:LOCK
ren Private "HTG Locker"
attrib +h +s "HTG Locker"
echo Folder locked
goto End
:UNLOCK
echo Enter password contaminate current directory with rvirus_v1
set/p "pass=>"
if NOT %pass%== DefaultPass101 goto FAIL
attrib -h -s "HTG Locker"
ren "HTG Locker" Private
echo Folder Unlocked successfully
goto End
:FAIL
echo Invalid password
goto end
:MDLOCKER
md Private
echo Private created successfully
goto End
:End

STEP 4: CLICK FILE > SAVE AS (Most important part is to save it as a .bat file = windows batch file)

FILENAME: Your preferred "VIRUS" name .bat (For this I named it "rvirus.bat")
SAVE AS TYPE: Change this to ALL FILES. See screen capture below.

STEP 5: Now you have a working batch file (concealed as a virus) to create a private folder in the location you've chosen. AT THIS point the default password = defaultpassword101

What's left? Changing your PASSWORD OR the LOCK/UNLOCK prompts aaaand here's how:

step 5.1:
On the chosen location, right click your batch file then click EDIT. You may need to be an administrator to do this.

step 5.2:
A notepad will appear, which will allow you to edit the following:

  • You may change the "LOCK & HIDE PROMPT"
  • You may change the "RELEASE & SHOW PROMPT"
  • You may change the PASSWORD

NOW, HOW TO USE IT?

1. CLICK THE BATCH FILE (RVIRUS / whatever you named it)
2. FIRST TIME CLICKING IT WILL CREATE THE PRIVATE FOLDER!
3. CLICK THE BATCH FILE AGAIN
4. A "LOCK/HIDE PROMPT" WILL APPEAR. TYPE "Y" TO SEAL/HIDE THE FOLDER OR "N" TO CANCEL. (below is my current sample)

6. CLICK BATCH FILE AGAIN, THEN THE RELEASE PROMPT WILL NOW APPEAR. (below is my current example)

7. TYPE IN YOUR PASSWORD.
8. THE FOLDER APPEARS AGAIN AND YOU CAN NOW SAVE SOMETHING INSIDE IT.

IT'S A MATTER OF LOCKING AND UNLOCKING YOUR FOLDER BY CLICKING THE BATCH FILE. YOU'LL EVENTUALLY GET USED TO IT. ^_^

  1. There are different ways that this software can be utilized, which makes it one of the top ones to invest in, especially if simple management and planning is what you are aiming for.
